Dodgeball Practice

I always have students begging to play dodgeball.  It is also one of my favorite activities, but it isn't in our curriculum.  If you would like to join a dodgeball program it is at Fancher.  The registration deadline is quickly approaching.  Click on the following link to read about it

No School on Monday September 30th. What Are Your Plans?

What Are You Doing on September 30th

If you don’t have anything to do on September 30th PEAK is having a “School’s Out Day Camp” at Vowles.  Prices range from $30-$35.

Welcome to the New School Year!

The school year is off to a great start.  Every year our students begin Physical Education with soccer.  During this unit students are able to practice skills and participate in lead up games.  Our lead up games and activities allow students to use different skills that will be used in a game of soccer.  Students have been practicing foot dribble, passing, kicking, and goal tending.
Fifth and sixth graders will have the opportunity to create teams.  I always find it amusing to see the names that the students come up with for their teams.  The teams will choose captains and will participate in a tournament.
Fourth graders do not compete in a tournament, but they will play in soccer games.

The character word that will be the emphasis of our tournament will be sportsmanship.

As always I ask that the students bring proper shoes for being active.  This allows them to be safe during activity.
